  1. Whoa… that isn’t really what you would expect on a photography mission! Funny! The colours in the water looks great. You should do a course to really learn how to utilise your camera, and how to edit them to make them pop!

  2. What an entertaining read, great pic, I have a digital slr (was my husbands) but haven’t ventured to learn how to use the damn thing, just lives on auto at this stage. Yes, those women, have done a few of their nails over the years. Can’t judge a book by it’s cover.

    • I debated whether to write about it at all but I’m glad I did. It was a little surreal.

The great thing about digital cameras is you can take a thousand photos getting it right. Get it off of auto and onto manual. You’ll be surprised.

  3. Awesome photo! I too would love to do a course, but its a ‘one day’ thing (you know, one day i’ll be able to do that). I do try to play as much as possible with the settings, but alas, I usually go back to good old Auto when i’m in a hurry for a certain shot.

As for your chats, well you certainly attract some interesting folk! And like Natasha said, you certainly can’t judge a book by its cover.

  4. Certainly an interesting evening for you. Nothing like that has ever happened to me while on a photoshoot. LOL (Of course “sex worker” is an illegal profession here.)

Great that you are taking the time to learn the in’s and out’s of photography in manual mode. (Was the only mode when I first learned.) What better way that by taking lots of pictures. The age of digital photography makes that practical. (I had to buy 200 meter bulk rolls of film to do that!) Keep at it Jack – you’re doing a good job of it!

    • Mark sex workers are not legal here either….I think. I’ve never actually done any research to confirm or deny that.

I am so thankful for digital cameras. There is no way I would be doing this with film. I am too impatient.

  5. And here I thought I was just going to have a photo to comment on O:-)

I really love the colors reflecting from the river!!! And yes, your 5000 has video and my 3000 does not…is that the only difference?

Interesting folks you met there Jack! And you do have a trusting face and are a great listener. A little surprised that she was that open with you though!
